    POMEROY–The Missoula Children's Theatre returned, after an absence caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, to present Red Riding Hood on Friday, April 14. The cast of the show was selected from students of Pomeroy School District and homeschooled Pomeroy children at an audition held Tuesday morning.     POMEROY– The Pomeroy City Council accepted a bid for the summer seal coat project at a continuation of their monthly meeting on April 17. The low bid was provided by Idaho Asphalt at $85,233.75. Idaho Asphalt did not submit a bid security bond with their bid. The council waived the bond requirement and authorized Mayor Paul Miller to sign the bid.     POMEROY–The Garfield County Transportation Authority (CTA) discussed electric vehicles and a rider incident at their meeting on April 17. In view of the hilly terrain in Garfield County, as well as the extremes to which the temperatures can swing from over 100 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer to below zero degrees in the winter, the CTA deemed electric vehicles to be unfeasible.     POMEROY–The Garfield County Public Health District (PHD)board passed two resolutions and discussed the You Are Heard survey at their meeting on April 17. PHD’s Administrator Martha Lanman announced that the district has received 296 surveys as part of the You Are Heard survey campaign. The deadline for the surveys has been extended to April 30.     POMEROY-An assembly was held at the gym for the kick-off of the Safe Homes program. Several High School teachers were among those who signed Pomeroy Partners Coalition's Safe Homes pledge at a PHS assembly on April 13. Safe Homes is a pledge-based, drug prevention project that helps parent communicate with each other and unite to prevent the use of alcohol, tobacco, and illegal drugs by their youth.
