Pomeroy High School's Lady Pirate Volleyball Team, pictured above, and the Pirate Football Team are both headed to post-season action. Last weekend, the Lady Pirates fought their way through the consolation bracket to secure a berth at the 1B Volleyball State Tournament, starting today in Yakima. The Pirate Football program has a bye week as other teams play this weekend before all teams dive into the playoffs. See page 8 for more about Pirate sports.
