The Chicken Scramble activity took on a new look this year due to the avian influenza concern nationwide, and thanks to the resourceful Garfield County Fair Board, who were able to find three uninfected chickens, the annual Fair favorite avoided being canceled. All kids had to do was be the lucky one fast enough to grab a tag off the wing. Helping release the oversized chickens are Nick and Josh Hastings.
