POMEROY–When you have a best friend you want to hold on to them for as long as possible. Unfortunately, you can’t always be that lucky.

I have a friend who was my other half. We did everything together. Then, she moved away. I still see her and her family sometimes. Just recently she came up for a visit and saw me for my birthday. They will return again around Christmas.

I absolutely love seeing her and every time she informs me that she is coming, it makes me so excited. We still fight sometimes and obviously we aren’t as close as we used to be, but I still live for the late nights we stay up drinking Martinelli’s and watch Grey’s Anatomy.

During those times when she is away, we Face Time, sometimes for three hours. I wouldn’t trade those calls for anything. I absolutely love talking with her about what to text that cute boy and how to respond. She is still my other half and I can’t imagine my life without her.
