Pomeroy High alum Ray Cardwell, Class of 1961, stepped up to boost Pirate Pride–and community pride–each time a team wins a state championship. Following the Pomeroy Lady Pirate state volleyball championship last year, Cardwell purchased the uniforms and presented them to the championship team on March 3. Cardwell's devotion to Pirate athletes is truly commendable, commented Toddette McGreevy, P.H.S. Athletic Director.
