There never was a fairer rose than Kevin Leslie Lassiter, son of Richard Lassiter and Kellie Longatti with Lean Clayton as supporter, on the "Cleaning up an Island" senior project. This entailed weeding the center rose garden area on Columbia street, and spiffing up the seating area.

The project consisted of weeding the rows of rose bushes and repainting the bench that resides on the property, this is located at the end of Columbia street near the Colman Oil gas station.
