Sawyer Tardif used paint and elbow grease to refresh greeting signs at the east and west ends of town. This senior project made a big impact for just a little effort, making it was quite rewarding.

For my senior project, I refurbished the greeting signs on the East and West ends of Pomeroy. This project was not extremely time consuming but I do believe that the end result was rewarding. While I was working on my project, I had a lot of people noticing me. They were honking and waving. It really showed me how much people care about those signs and the community as a whole, and how doing something small can really impact the overall look of the town. I also think that refurbishing these signs was overdue. The paint was chipped and faded and it scraped off very easily. I hope that in the future other seniors choose this project and keep up on it. The signs themselves were professionally done and I hope the Chamber of Commerce gets the signs refurbished entirely, they have some visible damage that I could not fix myself. I did enjoy this project and doing it on my own made it that much more rewarding.
