My wife Sue and I have lived in Pomeroy since 1988. We raised our daughter Megan here and have chosen to make Garfield County our long-term home. Sue and I have been active in the community since we've been here and I intend to continue to stay involved as Commissioner. I have been a public servant my entire career. I served as the local Game Warden here for nearly 28 years and after retiring from WDFW, I have worked as the local School Resource Officer for the Garfield County Sheriff's Office. I feel that it is time to hang up my badge, but I want very much to stay involved in our community and work hard to keep Garfield County a great place to live and raise a family.

I believe my experience in the public service arena has prepared me well to serve as County Commissioner. I have worked with the Commissioners over the years on local issues as well as our other Elected Officials and the Pomeroy City Council. I have served on committees involved in Union/Management contract negotiations in the past and I have a good understanding of the importance of effectively managing our valuable County employees and other local resources while maintaining strong fiscal responsibility for the good of the County as a whole. I have developed strong working relationships with many of the county entities and Departments and have a good understanding of local issues.

I feel that strong emphasis needs to be placed on economic development within our county in order to keep it strong and viable, while still maintaining our small-town feel that we all value. I will make this my full-time job so that I can devote as much of my time as needed to represent our County at the State level.

I am active in numerous committees currently and will be able to continue to serve on most as Commissioner. Committees like the Local Emergency Planning Committee, Pomeroy Partners for Healthy Families, Community Health Advisory Board and the Hazard Mitigation Committee.

I am honored to have been endorsed by not only our current Commissioner Bob Johnson, but also our State Representative Mary Dye. If elected I will continue to work hard for our local community and represent our County to the very best of my abilities. I very much appreciate your support and your votes. I will, "Focus on our Future!"
