A Teen's Take

July 30, 2020

POMEROY––Everyone has different opinions on what the state should do about schools reopening and how to handle the Covid-19 situation.

Personally, I do not like online school at all, but it would give me the opportunity to work year-round and experience more than the four walls of the school.

On the other hand, we would be completely missing out on part of our high school experience and lacking that social component of school.

One of my friends is completely heart-set on going back to school in person. Another one agreed with me that it would be a great opportunity to live in the real world a little and learn more than geometry and where to place a comma.

This is a tough situation and I would not want to be the one to make the decision. There are pros and cons to either scenario.

In this predicament, it is great to have people with different opinions on how it should be handled and what to do. What is your take on what should happen?

I hope everyone is cooling off at our public pool while kick-starting the last month of summer!
