Swartz new Safety Coordinator

STARBUCK– Columbia Pulp, LLC has named Dustin Swartz as Safety Coordinator at the Lyons Ferry plant. Swartz has been with Columbia Pulp for over a year as a Production Operator and Power Utility Operator. He was the main Chemical Handler for the plant, and was recognized by leaders for his safety awareness, attention to detail, and dedication to the role.

In this new role, Swartz will be supporting the Lyons Ferry team in designing, and/or improving a variety of safety programs and procedures. He will be focused on safety compliance, training, and holding accountability to a strong safety culture.

Swartz returned to Columbia Pulp as an interim Safety Coordinator in June, adding required programs, improving safety processes and procedures which will help prepare for the operational restart of the plant.

Prior to Columbia Pulp, he has had experience in equipment handling, safety and first aid training, maintenance education, and leading teams. But, above all, Swartz has an innate dedication to protection and safety of others. He is invested in helping make Columbia Pulp, LLC a leader in our industry, and he represents our Rooted in Community and Safety values by dedicating himself to protecting our employees and their communities.
