POMEROY––Vicki Adair Fitzsimmons Brenner, 71, died October 10, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lewiston.

She was born August 3, 1949, to Marcus C. and Marion K. (McCarty) Fitzsimmons in Pomeroy.

She grew up in Pomeroy, attending schools here and graduating from Pomeroy High School in 1967.

On October 28, 1967, she married Gilbert E. Brenner. She and her husband farmed from 1979 until his death in 1997, and she continued until 1997. She worked for N.O.A.A. Fisheries for 15 years until retirement.

Brenner attended the First Christian Church and was involved with family. She loved to hunt mushrooms, fish, hunt, and was involved with the Pendleton Round Up Wagon Train for 10 years. Stained-glass artwork was a favorite hobby.

She and partner Tim Collier committed to one another on December 12, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert; father Creighton Fitzsimmons; a brother Clifford Fitzsimmons and a sister Colleen Fitzsimmons.

She is survived by her partner at home, Tim Collier; two daughters, Jennifer (Shaun) Bristol, Anatone, Wash., and Kolleen Kopung, Post Falls, Id.; a son, Bob (Anita) Brenner, Pomeroy; her mother, Kathleen Fitzsimmons, Pomeroy; two brothers, Tom (Jamie) Fitzsimmons, Pomeroy, and Dave (Carol) Fitzsimmons, Kennewick; a sister, Linda (Jim) Vandeweg, Laclede, Id.; two step-sons, Shane Collier, Clarkston, and Josh Collier, Spokane Valley; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was on October 14, 2020, at Richardson-Brown Funeral Home in Pomeroy. An outdoor graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 15, 2020, at the Holy Rosary Cemetery, Pomeroy. Officiant was Fr. Steve Werner.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
