POMEROY–The big story for the seventh Camas Prairie shoot is again the weather; high winds and tough conditions. Even though, the Juniors had a fair day on Saturday but Sunday greeted the Senior members with a difficult climate environment.

Saturday’s shoot, the 12-year-old and under kids were led by scores of 17 by Levi Bowen and Byron Collier. Braxton Mckeirnan put up a 16 one target behind. Collier also led the Handicap event with an 18 and Bowen posted a 17.

In the Sub Junior Division Mason Garcia put up a very nice 23 in singles and Gunner Magill shot a 21. Magill posted a 22 for the best score in Handicap while Brodie Magill and Olliver Severs had 20s.

Carson Zimmerman missed only one Target in the Junior division putting up a nice 24, while Tyson Kimble and Troy Steele missed two for 23s in singles. Braedon Fruh led the Handicap with a 21, Kimble and Logan Ledgerwood had a pair of 20s.

Sunday, Wayne Tetrick was the only shooter to come close to a perfect score in singles with his 24, Jeff Hannas and Bryan McKeirnan posted 23s while Sean Beale, Steve Brown, Larry Bunch, Clarke Capwell, Tracy Hanger and Derek Shawley all had 22s.

In Handicap Bryan McKeirnan posted a near perfect 24 and Sean Beale had a 23.

Buck Geiger was the top Continental shooter with a 24 followed by Ben Feider with a 22 and Brady Bott with a 21. Travis Ledgerwood posted the best Doubles score with a 41.

After six weeks, the Junior Club remained in 8th place in the 24 Club field and the Senior Club is in 20th place overall.

Shooting will resume next Saturday February 27 for Juniors and Sunday for Senior shooters. Due to weather conditions, Colton Gun Club’s February 20 registered shoot was postponed until this Saturday February 27. Shooting will begin with 100 singles and Handicap targets and 50 pairs of doubles being offered at 9 a.m.
