Pomeroy Assist fills baskets for Easter

Another annual tradition of filling Easter baskets brings, gathers several faithful volunteers to the Senior Center. These supportive people stuffed and wrapped over 50 baskets for local low-income families. POMEROY–Pomeroy Assist and local volunteers met at the Senior Center to make 55 Easter Baskets for local low-income families on March 24.

Pomeroy Assist members and volunteers Monica Bartlow, Terrilee Cox, Deputy Zachery Grumbles, Sheriff Drew Hyer, Rachel Anderson, Kristine Hyer, Sarah Meyers and Maggie Warren gathered at the Pomeroy Senior Center to stuff baskets with pencils in pouches, stuffed animals, fruit snacks, candy, and $30 vouchers for necessities at Pomeroy Foods and then wrapped, raffled and prepared for local low-income families.

Baskets were donated by Walmart and the supplies to fill each basket were purchased with the proceeds of grants from Puget Sound Energy, Harold and Helen Shepherd Foundation and local churches and individuals gave Pomeroy Assist and volunteers plenty of goodies to make 55 Easter Baskets.
