WALLA WALLA–Students seeking careers as police officers or desiring other jobs within the criminal justice field now have the opportunity to earn a Bachelor in Applied Science (BAS) with a Concentration in Criminal Justice Administration from Walla Walla Community College (WWCC).

The four-year degree fills a need within the region and allows students to obtain the background that can help them succeed as police officers and move up the ranks into management positions.

The College is enrolling students now. Graduates with the new BAS degree will have had the opportunity to study ethics, criminology, interpersonal communications, writing, and statistics, in addition to other subjects.

In addition to the new bachelor degree, WWCC offers a two-year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice and a two-year Associate of Applied Science Transfer Degree in Criminal Justice. Students have the option of attending classes in-person and online. Graduates go on to work as police officers, in corrections facilities, with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and in similar positions. Others have moved on to a four-year university and law school.

Those who would like to learn more about WWCC's Criminal Justice degrees should contact Maier at [email protected].
