City Council signs approval for vacation

POMEROY–The City Council approved the signing of Ordinance No. 922, vacating a portion of Arlington and Tenth Streets by Mayor Paul Miller at a special meeting May 5.

Details about the vacation process were discussed at the City Council meeting prior to taking a vote on the issue. Councilwoman Susie Bowles made a motion to authorize the Mayor to sign Ordinance No. 922, vacating a portion of Arlington and Tenth Streets and Cassetto seconded. Voting in favor were Bowles and Cassetto; voting opposed was Fuchs. The motion passed by a majority vote of two to one and the meeting was adjourned.

Present at the meeting was Mayor Paul Miller, and council members Sue Bowles and James Fuchs, with Mike Cassetto attending by phone. Although Adam Hodges and James Harris were absent there were still enough members to reach the quorum necessary to conduct business.
