Healthcare is an essential component of a well-functioning community, and remains extremely important as we continue navigating the chaotic and uncertain realities all of us have faced for the last two years. Great healthcare services in Garfield County are a priority for me.

My name is Erica Stallcop and I am running for the Garfield County Hospital District Board. I have been a registered nurse for 11 years and also have my Master's Degree in Nursing with a focus in Leadership and Management. When I started my nursing career, I worked in acute and primary care in the LC Valley, but primarily worked in Pediatrics. For the last seven years I have worked at Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield in the Case Management department as a Case Manager, Supervisor, and now a Clinical Consultant. My heart lies in rural communities as I grew up in Condon, a small town in North Central Oregon. My husband Adam Stallcop and I moved to Garfield County in 2016 to reestablish our small-town roots and to raise our family - Charlee (6), Harrison (4), and Stetson (1 month).

My healthcare background and desire to keep rural America thriving make me an excellent candidate for the Garfield County Hospital District Board. All healthcare entities strive to achieve the Quadruple AIM of healthcare: improve healthcare outcomes, improve patient experience, lower healthcare cost, and improve healthcare worker experience. These four pillars have been foundational guide posts in my professional career in healthcare, and will be fully utilized if I'm elected to the hospital board. Just as important as the Quadruple AIM of Healthcare is understanding the healthcare needs of individuals within our community, and then establishing a strategic plan to offer appropriate services to meet those needs. The hospital board and leadership at the hospital do these things daily. My clinical, educational, and professional experience provide me with a versatile skill set and will make me a highly functioning and contributing member to the board.
