With a brisk and steady breeze at their backs, the undefeated Pomeroy Pirates took advantage of that field position to make the best of the passing game, scoring three touchdowns on the Trent Gwinn to Trevin Kimble (43) connection. Here Kimble prepares to catch a 37-yard touchdown pass on third and eight early in the second quarter. The touchdown set the running clock for the remainder of the game, a 58-0 win.
SUNNYSIDE–The Pomeroy Pirates are the undisputed champions of the Southeast B-1 8-Man Conference, finishing the season 10-0 overall, 7-0 in conference, an even 100 years since the 1921 P.H.S. Pirates went undefeated, and 51 years since the 1970 Pirates were undefeated and untied.
