LCCU marks five years in Pomeroy

POMEROY–The Lewis Clark Credit Union (LCCU) celebrated five years here recently with drawings, door prized, refreshments and a children's Halloween coloring contest. LCCU also celebrated by awarding five $1,000 donations to five local organizations: Seeley Theatre, Garfield County Food Bank, Senior Center, Pirate Booster Club, and Denny Ashby Library.

"We celebrated five years in Pomeroy on October 22 with a children's Halloween coloring contest, door prizes, refreshments and five $1,000 donations to local organizations marking each year LCCU has been serving this community," said Pomeroy Branch Manager Ashley Dixon.

To keep the Theater Restoration Project moving forward, LCCU awarded the Seeley Theatre with a $1,000 donation. The Seeley Theatre reported the $1,000 will be put to good use in the perpetual restoration project happening on the property and building. "The directors of the PCC Seeley Theatre organization are grateful to be chosen to receive an amazing donation that will help the theatre's restoration project," said Seeley Theatre Board President Lisa Lund. "We greatly appreciate Ashley Dixon and LCCU for thinking of us."

The Garfield County Food Bank was awarded with $1,000 to continue the priceless contribution they provide to the community. "We know how important the Garfield County Food Bank is to our Pomeroy community. We donated $1,000 to then so they can continue providing for those in need here," said Dixon.

The Pomeroy Senior Center was also a recipient of a $1,000 donation which serves the community and its elderly population with informational programs, Town Halls, city and county meetings, meals, personal care, meals and so much more.

The Pirate Booster Club also expressed gratitude for the $1,000 donation. They plan to use the funds to support the K-12 sports programs. "On behalf of the Pirate Booster Club, we cannot express how grateful we were to be chosen to receive such an amazing donation that will help our K-12 sports programs in so many ways," said Pomeroy Booster Club President Lacey Gingerich. "We appreciate Ashley Dixon and LCCU for thinking of us. As always, GO PIRATES!"

To inspire life-long learning, LCCU donated $1,000 to the Denny Ashby Library. "We want to inspire life-long learning by donating $1,000 to the Denny Ashby Library," said Dixon.
