POMEROY––The undefeated Pirates continue their pursuit of a state trophy this Saturday on Lybecker Field as they take on the Naselle Comets in the second round of the 2021 1B State Football playoffs. The kickoff is at 1 p.m.

Naselle defeated Waterville-Mansfield 68-12 to advance to Saturday's meeting with the Pirates. Below these teams on the bracket is Wilbur-Creston-Keller versus Almira-Coulee-Hartline, at Lions Field in Moses Lake on Saturday. WCK was a 50-22 winner over Neah Bay in Moses Lake last Saturday, and ACH had a first-round bye.

In last weekend's opening round, Liberty Bell downed Cusick 52-20 and Winlock edged DeSales 64-60 in the opening round. This Saturday, Winlock faces Quilcene at Sammamish High School, and Liberty Bell goes against Odessa at Moses Lake.

Winners of Saturday's game will advance to the semi-finals on Nov. 27, time and location yet to be determined. From there, the two winners meet on Dec. 4 at Mt. Tahoma H.S., Tacoma.
