Letters to the Editor

To the editor,

Whether you are Republican or Democrat Joe Biden is the current president and Donald Trump is the most recent past president.

You may not have liked Donald Trump as president, but he had a vision of making this country self-sufficient. By encouraging manufacturers to bring business and jobs back to the United States, by allowing the increased production of petroleum products, so that the United States became a net exporter for the first time in over 60 yrs. I may not agree with everything he said or did, but I do agree with the direction of getting the United States of becoming self-sufficient. Realizing that it was not going to happen overnight or in just a couple of years, but by getting the process started.

Joe Biden, as with any president, through executive order has undone as much of the previous administration’s policies as possible. Not that we were to the point of being self-sufficient, but by his actions we have once again became dependent on foreign counties in a short period of time. With the control of the White House and Congress, one would hope the Democratic party would be working toward the betterment of our country, but at this point, their focus, as well as the media’s, is on Donald Trump. Congress’s job is to manage the country for the people of this country, not investigate or prosecute individuals. I believe that is why we have a Judicial system.

Election fraud? I can’t answer that question, but I do see a problem when results are questioned and election officials say we did find some ballots that were from people that had died before the ballots were sent out. The ones that residency was questioned: election officials found that they had moved back prior to the elections. This statement was reported by officials saying that it would not change the election, maybe not at the national level but what about a local level. They are secret ballots; how do they know the way these ballots were marked, to make the decision that the outcome would not have changed. My reference to the ballots in question was reported on national TV (NBC) after a recount. I believe in the state of Georgia.

Republicans and Democrats alike do not always agree or have the same vision within their own party. Now, as when Donald Trump was in office, he had his Republican opposition. As Joe Biden has opposition within his party. Congress is supposed to represent the people of their state and make decisions that benefit the people, not support or follow an individual or make decisions along party lines.

If you trust and believe in Joe Biden then, brag about Joe Biden and what he is accomplishing and his vision for the future. Don’t talk about what he hasn’t done, said, or whose feelings he didn’t hurt. Quit criticizing Donald Trump for what he believes in, as I’m sure you have something that you believe in that we don’t all agree with. The people flying those flags, as I, believe in the future that Donald Trump wanted for this country.
