POMEROY–The School Board approved the end of required masking for students and personnel as March 21 during the meeting February 22.

The Pomeroy School District (PSD) board of directors determined an end date for the mask mandate in both high and elementary schools at their meeting on February 22. Masks will not be required after March 21.

The board also discussed an update to the coaches’ renewal policy. Coaching contracts will become yearly, with the position opened every three years. Currently employed coaches would be welcome to reapply for the position. PSD is planning to begin the change in the year of 2023-24.

The board granted the Class of 2022 a five-day waiver for the last week of school, June 6-10. The class officers presented their request.
