POMEROY–The Pirate Golf Team has three returning letter winners: Chase Caruso, Brady Bott and Jett Slusser.

Caruso returns as a junior and hopes to repeat as District Champion, according to first-year Golf Team Head Coach Al Damron. “We expect big things from Chase this year,” Damron said.

Last year there was no state tournament for golf due to COVID.

Brady Bott “had a respectable year in 2021 and we are hoping he will improve this year,” Damron commented.

Letterman Jett Slusser tied for seventh at district and was second-team All Conference as an eighth grader, Damron noted. “We expect big things from Jett over the next four years.”

Damron also looks forward to coaching returning golfer Natalie Fuchs, and several new members of the team.
