POMEROY–Garfield County Chipper Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 9 at 8 a.m.–2 p.m.

Garfield County will host a free chipper day for county residents to dispose of their yard waste at the old rock pit located of Gould City-Mayview Road.

County residents can dispose clean yard and garden debris, pine needles, leaves, limbs and small logs (up to 15 inches) free from rocks, root balls or anything over 15 inches in diameter to the site. Any debris placed in plastic bags must be emptied and the bags taken home.
