POMEROY–It wasn't too windy to plow as the Eastern Washington Agricultural Museum (EWAM) held its Spring Farming Days on April 2 and 3.

Six teams of horses and mules–also called hitches–pulled plows, harrows, and seed drills on the field at the Garfield County Fairgrounds. The weather was blustery and cold on Friday, with a bit of rain. Lunch was provided for sale by The Baker's Table.

The Blue Mountain Artisan Guild had a small show at the Dick Brown building, featuring wood art, pottery, photography and paintings. Other exhibitions at the event included rope making, and a 1919 player piano brought to the event by Rod Sangster of Anatone. He also brought a large collection of songs to be played by the piano, some of which included the words to the songs. "It's got karaoke beat by a hundred years," Sangster said.
