Windy weather for Spring Farming Days

There were six hitches at the Garfield County Fairgrounds for last weekend's Spring Farming Days.Mike Nagle (driving) and his brother Billy ran one of them. Their horses' names are: (front row) Lily, Tekoa, and Bounty; (back row) Rowdy, Ben, and Chip.

POMEROY–It wasn't too windy to plow as the Eastern Washington Agricultural Museum (EWAM) held its Spring Farming Days on April 2 and 3.

Six teams of horses and mules–also called hitches–pulled plows, harrows, and seed drills on the field at the Garfield County Fairgrounds. The weather was blustery and cold on Friday, with a bit of rain. Lunch was provided for sale by The Baker's Table.
