ST. JOHN–Two Pirate golfers finished a match here March 23, coming in third. Kiersten Bartels and Jett Slusser each placed third at the four-way meet.

Slusser carded a 49 for the Pirates and Bartels finished with 58.

“All of our players did well, considering they played in brutal cold and windy conditions,” commented Head Coach Al Damron.

When classes resume after Spring Break, the team will compete at Pasco’s Sun Willows April 13 and Ritzville on April 14.

Bartels, Slusser and other Pirates competed with teams from St. John, Tekoa-Rosalia, and Colfax. Other Pomeroy participants were: Reggie Ott-51, Grayson Slaybaugh-63, Cesar Morfin-65, Boone Schmitt-78, Jacob Risinger-79, Elena Morfin-69.
