WALLA WALLA–Pirate golf phenom Chase Caruso topped the girl’s event when ten schools and 52 golfers competed at Wine Valley Golf Course April 27.

Caruso, who has been in the winner’s circle repeatedly this season, shot an 83 to lead all girls, said Head Coach Al Damron.

Jett Slusser carded a 103 and Brady Bott 101. “Brady had broken his wrist just before the season and has struggled until now,” Damron said, “but he showed real improvement today.:

Earlier this week, the District 9 Invitational was hosted by Pomeroy at Crystal Spring Golf Course. The Sub-District match will be be May 9 at Veterans Memorial Golf Course in Walla Walla.

The District match is set for May 16 at Clarkston’s Red Wolf course with state May 23-25 at Deer Park.
