Youth and Family Forum focuses on data from 2021 Healthy Youth Survey

POMEROY-The organization Pomeroy Partners for Healthy Families, hosted their fourth annual Pomeroy Youth and Family Forum at the Pataha Flour Mill on May 24.

The main event was the data walk activity, a presentation of Pomeroy School District results of the 2021 Healthy Youth Survey. Boards holding graphs and descriptions of result data were set up and the community invited to hear a presentation on each one. Boards included the topics of substance abuse, community involvement, mental health, and hope.

Chris Stiles, Director of Planning and Development at the Innovia Foundation, a grant-making public charity based out of Spokane that serves eastern Washington and northern Idaho, spoke about the foundations goals of helping connect people who want to give to those who need help.

Pomeroy Partners' Prevention Program Director Sarah Meyers finished out the event by leading a discussion about how to move forward. "We are community driven. We need volunteers-hands and people." Meyers said. She encouraged the attendees to reach out to the youth of our community.
