Morrow presented Quilt of Valor

J. D. Morrow received his Quilt of Valor on Easter Sunday, April 16. His quilt was presented by Cindy Klaveano and Alice Gwinn with friends and family present.

POMEROY–Quilt of Valor veteran honoree J. D. Morrow enlisted in the Navy in January, 1971, and went to boot camp training in San Diego, Calif., from June through August, 1971. He was assigned to serve on the USS Ogden out of San Diego.

Morrow was in Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI., from February, 1972 through July, 1972. He then served on the USS Eldorado out of San Diego from August 1972 to April 1973.

He finished his service from April, 1973, to May of 1975 on the USS Mars in Sasebo, Japan.

Morrow's quilt was made by Cindy Klaveano, quilted and bound by Alice Gwinn.
