POMEROY–The Alvin Landkammer Fireworks, in memory of Isaac Roosevelt and Independence Day for our nation is scheduled to blast-off at the Garfield County Fairgrounds Tuesday, July 5 at dusk.

The Landkammer family will once again put on a fantastic firework display at the fairgrounds Tuesday evening. As in the past, observers have made this a traditional family affair bringing a blanket to spread on the ground to hold a picnic basket full of goodies to enjoy before the big event. Those who sit in the stands, bring a blanket as well to ward of the evening chill, which is a surety this year. What ever your traditions are, join the Pomeroy community in celebrating our country’s independence from totalitarian rule.
