GARFIELD COUNTY–Motorcyclist, Michael C. Mingin, 69, of Keizer, Ore., dies in a one vehicle, Highway 12 collision Friday evening, June 24, 2022 at approximately 6:52 p.m.

The Washington State Patrol reported that Mingin was travelling westbound of Highway 12, at milepost 418, about 14 miles east of Pomeroy, while riding his motorcycle, he changed lanes and left the roadway on the right. It was also reported he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident and it was unknown if drugs or alcohol contributed to the accident. He was transported to Tri-State Memorial Hospital.

The incident is currently under investigation.
