County Commissioners named WAAE 2022 Legislator of the Year

Commissioners Jim Nelson and Larry Ledgerwood accepted the 2022 Legislator of the Year award on behalf of the Garfield County Commissioners
POMEROY–The Garfield County board of commissioners (BOCC) accepted an award and approved a fund transfer at their meeting on July 18.
The Washington Association of Agricultural Educators honored the Garfield County Commissioners with their 2022 Legislator of the Year award. They were honored for their decision to have a livestock show and sale in the midst of the pandemic during the summer of 2020, and for their support of youth livestock activities.
A transfer from the Emergency Management fund into the Sheriff Office's DUI fund of $17,459 was approved. The transfer is a reimbursement for funds used for equipment purchase.
