Impressive scores were shot by Holly Ledgerwood, pictured, who won the Lady II Trophies, and became runner up in the Lady II division in the entire 14 Club Zone. "Her singles score was outstanding," says Larry Bunch.

COLTON–Six members of Pomeroy Gun Club participated in the Western Zone shoot July 15-17 hosted by the Colton Gun Club. Bob Koller, Steve and Holly Ledgerwood, Larry Bunch, Buck Geiger, and Terry John all attended and brought Home quite a bit of Trophy Hardware.

The Western Zone shoot is conducted at 14 different Clubs in the Western United States and Canada and scores are shared over the internet. The Zone has its own awards and there are Trophies provided by the Host Clubs also.

In Friday's Singles Larry Bunch missed only one Target for a score of 99 X 100, which won him the Senior Veteran Trophy, Holly Ledgerwood posted a 96 which won her the Lady II Hardware. Terry John had a 95 and Buck Geiger posted a 94.

In Handicap Geiger had a 92, Bunch had a 90, and John posted an 86. Geiger posted an outstanding 96 in Doubles that won him the C Class Trophy. Bunch had an 87 in Doubles which was good enough for Senior Veteran honors.

On Saturday the featured event was 200 singles combined in two 100 target events. Holly Ledgerwood posted scores of 98 and 99 for an excellent score of 197. That score won her Lady II at Colton but more importantly she was Runner up in the Lady II division in the entire 14 Club Zone. Pam Wright who shot at Spanish Forks Utah was the overall Lady II winner with a score of 198 that edged Holly by one target. Larry Bunch posted scores of 98 and 97 for a 195 score that was good enough for Senior Veteran honors at Colton. Geiger posted a 96 and 91 for 187.

Colton Threw 100 Handicap Targets on Saturday that was not included in the Zone Competition. Bunch and Geiger both posted scores of 92.

On Sunday the competition included 100 Doubles and Bunch's 92 was good enough for Champion Runner up Honors. In Handicap on Sunday Geiger posted a 92 which got him a Trophy for Short Yardage Champion, Bunch had a 91 and he won a coin flip that got him the mid yardage Champion Trophy. That concluded a great Weekend for Pomeroy Gun Club participants.
