I would like to extend my appreciation and gratitude for the past 20 years. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve you, as a deputy, K-9 handler, Undersheriff and currently as your Sheriff.

I have been in law enforcement for over 35 years. Throughout this time, I have gained invaluable experience and knowledge. Over my career I have been promoted to positions with increased responsibilities and have acquired critical leadership skills. My training spans from level One Supervisor to F.B.I. Command College.

I have been serving as your Garfield County Sheriff since 2017 during this time I have worked tirelessly to restore trust in the Sheriff's Office.

One of the most important aspects of my career has been the relationships I hold with the community members.

My family and I have lived in Garfield County for 20 years and have developed many cherished friendships and relationships with those I serve. These relationships allow me to better serve our community and its needs. It also allows me to hear opinions of our community members.

I am currently involved with the community in a variety of ways, including; Board member on the Community Coordinated Response Team, Y.W.C.A. fundraising (10 yrs.) Men's Golf, Pomeroy Partners for Healthy Families, just to mention a few.

I have over 2500 hours of advanced Law Enforcement training. I have been a member of Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs since 2012. I am also currently Co- chair of Law Enforcement Education Training and Traffic Safety for Washington State.

I am running for Re-Election because I am passionate about our community, I am fair, honest, and approachable. I have a true understanding of our community and its needs. I lead with an open-door policy as in hearing the needs and concerns and of the community and recognizing accomplishments.

Some of the Sheriff's Office accomplishments since being Sheriff include, working through the pandemic, Manpower Replacement Expenditure reimbursement from the state of Washington to cover salaries and benefits for the Deputies while being trained the academy. Negotiated with the Schoolboard and County Commissioners to make the School Resource Officer a permanent position. Remodeled dispatch, updated Radio system, got 911 text available for Garfield County. All new mobile repeaters in patrols vehicles. New hand-held radios for deputies, new countywide Emergency ALERT System. These programs and improvements were paid for by State and Federal grants. This was all possible because of the assistance of the entire Garfield County Sheriff's Office employees.

It would be an honor to be re-elected as your sheriff, I love and care for Garfield County, I want to continue to ensure safety and well-being of our amazing community.

I appreciate your time and consideration.
