Elementary students sing patriotic songs as part of the annual Pomeroy School District Veteran's Day tradition honoring local military service men and women. A slide presentation of local veterans and at least five Quilt of Valor will be given as part of this year's celebration.

POMEROY–The School District's Annual Veteran's Day program is scheduled in the high school gymnasium on November 14, at 9 a.m. It is open to the public. Veteran photos due by November 4.

Each year, Pomeroy School District hosts this public event, welcoming community members to join in celebrating our local honored veterans and those we have lost.

Elementary students will sing patriotic songs, a slide presentation of local military honorees will be made and at least five local veterans will receive Quilts of Valor as part of the Veteran's Day tradition.

If you are a veteran, or know of a veteran whose picture may not be in the slide presentation, please drop off a picture at the Pomeroy High School by November 4 so it may be included in the presentation.
