LEWISTON–The Jr. Hi. Wrestling team got off to a good start last Thursday at Jenifer Jr. Hi. in Lewiston.

Sixth-grader Chance Savage lost both matches to wrestlers who have more experience. “His drive and motivation are going to bring him success in the near future,” said Coach Fred Knebel.

Lincoln Lovgren lost his first match and then pinned his second opponent.

Jackson Hutchens lost both his matches in his debut in Jr.Hi. wrestling, but he is going to find the win column real soon, Knebel said.

Jess Winona won both of his matches by pin and is a beast for a sixth grader, super strong and he knows wrestling.

Kole Zimmerman has matured physically and mentally since last year, he was dominant and is going to have a great season, Knebel said

C. Savage lost by pin to JJ Robles and C. Barren: L. Lovgren lost by pin to D. Dorgan, won by pin over R. Gibbs; J. Hutchens lost by pin to K. Rupp and G. Mikesell; J. Winona won pin vs. L. Collier, & O. Tate; K. Zimmerman won by pin over O. Tate, & C. York. These wrestlers are motivated and we will improve every week.
