Sally Ann (Wade) Peters, devoted mother and grandmother, died Wednesday Feb. 1, 2023, at Willowbrook Terrace in Pendleton, Ore., with her family by her side. She was 82 years old.

Sally Ann was born June 4, 1940, to Lewis A. "Bud" and Jennie Rae Wade in Pomeroy, Washington, where she was raised and educated. She graduated Pomeroy High School and went on to graduate from Kelsey Baird Secretarial School in Spokane, Washington.

She married Samuel J. Weimer in 1958. The couple made their home in Hermiston, Oregon, where they raised their children. The couple later separated.

She married Robert J. Peters in 1979, they made their home in Burbank, Washington, moving to Kennewick, Wash., and later settling in Pendleton, Oregon. Robert preceded her in death.

She worked for Dr. Heron in Pomeroy, Wash., Dr. Rasmussen in Hermiston, Ore., and finished her career as HR Director at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Pasco, Wash.

She committed herself to Ron Haynes in a commitment ceremony officiated by an Episcopal minister in 2017.

She loved the summertime and going boating and water skiing. Most of all she loved spending time with her children, her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. She was greatly involved with the Episcopal Church most of her life.

Sally Ann is survived by her sisters Nancy Wade Turner and Linda Wake Richardson; her three children and their spouses: Shelly and Temby Zander, LuAnn and Twuan Ksor, and Sheila and Frank Ashbeck; four grandchildren and their spouses: Shelby and Bryan McQuinn, Jennifer and Conan Fisher, Temby Jr. "T.J" and Erin Zander, two children Brayden and Makenna; and Tonya and Nate McFarlane; five step-grandchildren and their spouses: Sarah Hazlett, Laura Hazlett, Jason McClure, Allison and Justin LeGrand, and Bailey and Andy Brooks, seven great-grandchildren: Adrie, Shaylor and Peyton Fisher, Tugg and Kolt McQuinn, Aislin and Scarlett McFarlane, and nine step-great-grandchildren Mariah, Brady, Nicole, Brandon, Hannah and Holly; Ceila, Brayden and Jemma; and Sylvia.

Graveside Services will be held at the Pokery Cemetery in Pomeroy on Friday, February 10, at 1 p.m., Wash., followed by coffee and refreshments at Pataha Flour Mill. Contributions in memory of Sally Ann may be made to the Salvation Army.
