The 2023 edition of Spring Farming Days is set for this weekend at the Garfield County Fairgrounds, where the methods and equipment of days of yore will be demonstrated. This is Mike Nagle, brother Billy, and his team from the 2022 event.

POMEROY––Hitch up the buggy and head out to the Garfield County Fairgrounds for the 2023 Spring Farming Days this Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2.

Being demonstrated will be plowing through seeding, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days, including operations powered by horses or mules, just like in the olden days.

There are a few new exhibits to see in the Ag Museum, in addition to the extensive collection of antique tractors, engines, tools and equipment, some of them more than a static display. Also being displayed will be antique vehicles.

The Blue Mountain Artisan Guild will have an exhibition on the grounds.

When your stomach starts growlin', just follow your nose to lunch, available for purchase both days.

The EWAM invites people to bring old or antique agricultural items to the "Treasure Trailer," to sell. Anything there is available to buy and all proceeds go to the museum.
