DAYTON–The school year is coming to an end for the all students in the district, and much sooner for the Senior Class of 2023. But, before the 2023 Seniors said their final goodbyes, the traditional Senior Sign-Off assembly was held on May 26. In addition, the FFA Plant Sale ended on May 27.

This year's big day for the Seniors was on May 26, in the Dayton High School gym with the Senior Sign-Off which included recognition and awards. The Senior Sign-Off Day is an opportunity for this year's graduating Seniors to inform everyone about their futures after high school, and to give advice to underclassmen. There are 17 seniors who will go through Commencement on June 3 at 1 p.m. in the high school gym.

The FFA Plant Sale started on Wednesday, May 24, from 3-5:30 p.m. for the Horticulture students, family, and Dayton Staff. This day is open in appreciation of the staff of our school district and Horticulture students who helped with the whole Plant Sale process. It continued Thursday and Friday, May 25–26 from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. The last day of this year's Annual Dayton FFA Plant Sale was on Saturday, May 27 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

Dayton FFA will hold its last event for the school year, the Annual Awards Banquet, at the Columbia County Fairgrounds Youth Building on Wednesday, May 31 at 6 p.m. There will be plenty of food, awards, speeches, and other things to close the school year to acknowledge the members of the Dayton FFA.
