A Teen's Take

May 7, 2020

POMEROY–I can’t wait until this Stay-at-Home order is lifted. Someone very near and dear to my heart was talking about all the things I must be planning to do once this is over. I must say, it is kind of hard not to think about all the great things I used to do–before this pandemic. I have come to the conclusion I took so many things for granted.

I’m most excited about getting to see my friends up close and personal–again, not over a screen. I’m ready to go out to eat with friends and family at Red Lobster. Also, I am really hoping the swimming pool will open in June because without it, there just isn’t a lot to do during those long, hot days of summer. At the very least, I am hoping we can have a semi-normal summer with staying out late, early morning walks while talking, teaching swim lessons and riding bikes around town trying not to spill your milkshake. These are the kind of summers I long to have and I know a lot of other people are hoping for the same things. For now though, we have time to plan out the many things we will do–once this isolation ends.

I hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. Stay positive!
