Painting a mural at the City Pool was the project of, from left to right, Jaden Steele, Heidi Heytvelt, Teagen Steele and Tanner Bremer. Jaden and Teagen Steele are the daughters of Joel and Christy Steele; Bremer is the son of Andrea and Bryon Denny, and Steve and Jody Bremer; and Heytvelt is the daughter of Lou and Lillian Heytvelt.

My name is Tanner Bremer and I am in the Senior Project group with Heidi Heytvelt, Teagan Steele and Jaden Steele. For our Senior Project, we finished painting the mural on the pool, the locker room walls and floors, as well as the office trims and floor. This project was an extremely lengthy one. There were many times that I thought that we weren't going to finish the project, but then the COVID-19 hit and we were able to work on it a lot more. I honestly can't think where we would be today if we didn't have the last two months of school to work on our project.

Working on this project taught me a lot of skills that I will hold dearly to me for probably the rest of my life. Those being time management and planning. Without knowing how to plan anything or knowing anything about time management, I highly doubt we would be where we are today.

There were ups and downs as well. I was basically forced to listen to all the girls' drama they had and I pretty much had no say if I wanted to listen or not. I learned a lot, maybe too much about them while working on this project.

There were a few businesses and people who had helped with our project. Tom Meyers and Meyers Hardware played major factors in our project. We bought our paint from him every Saturday before we painted and without him and his knowledge on paint, we wouldn't have been able to learn as much as we did.

City Hall and the City workers. Without City Hall's permission we wouldn't be able to even work on the pool so I am glad they gave us permission to work on this. With the city workers' permission, we were pretty much trusted with the pool and we made sure to not damage anything or touch anything we weren't supposed to.
