Rattlesnake Fire update

The Rattlesnake Fire 20 miles south of Pomeroy is still burning within its 400-acre radius, with two recent ignition sites. Fire fighters are still accessing the burn area and use air support to manage the fire.

POMEROY–The Ranger District here has reported two new ignitions on Tuesday, August 25. Firefighters staffed both fires at less than a quarter of an acre in size. The Rattlesnake Fire had minimal spread and is still estimated at five acres. The fire is located 20 miles south of Pomeroy in rugged terrain.
