Small Business grant deadline Sept. 11

By Charlotte Baker

POMEROY–The Southeastern Washington Economic Development Association (SEWEDA) offers a Small Business Stabilization Grant, funds specifically to help small businesses.

SEWEDA has received $50,000 from the Cares Act plus $25,000 from Garfield County’s Cares Act allotment. The funds will allow small businesses that did not qualify for the first round of stimulus grants from the Washington State Department of Commerce in April, to qualify for assistance.

The money is meant to assist rural community businesses to continue functioning during these challenging times. “Funds not spent in Garfield County will be returned to the State’s General Fund and reallocated elsewhere, so please apply,” said Jack Peasley.

For qualification guidelines, worksheet and application, visit http://www.seweda.org, or contact Peasley at [email protected], 509-566-7079. The grant application deadline is September 11, 2020.
