Lovgren promoted to Columbia Pulp-Lyons Ferry Plant Manager

STARBUCK–Kyler Lovgren has been selected as Plant Manager at Lyons Ferry for Columbia Pulp, LLC. In this new role he will lead the operations at that location. He will also be responsible in the efforts drive the company forward as the only tree-free pulp product in North America by improving processes, and methods of deliverables, and growing employees.

Lovgren, a three-year company employee, started with the company as Manager of the Maintenance department, overseeing the construction of the Pomeroy Pilot Plant. He then advanced to Construction and Support Manager at the Lyons Ferry Plant, leading a design team, completing construction, and maintaining the completed facility.

As a 2007 graduate of Northwest Lineman College, Lovgren also has education and certifications in Plant Operations, Battery Maintenance, Substation Technician, Hydro Generation, Windmill Operations, and Maximo CMMS – Level III. His main areas of expertise are in strategic business operations, full-cycle planning, implementing, root-cause analysis, and maintenance of projects, and leadership and growth of teams.

In addition, Columbia Pulp would like to extend appreciation to Tony Waldo, who is leaving Columbia Pulp for a career with Covanta Energy.
