On-line pesticide recertification program offered

POMEROY–WSU Extension is hosting a ZOOM “Last Chance” Virtual Pesticide ReCertification Credit Seminar on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 from 8:45 a.m.–2 p.m. There is no charge to parti.cipate in the seminar. Four Washington and Oregon recertification credits have been applied.

To receive recertification credits, participants must sign into the seminar and register between 8:45–9 a.m. Individuals must be present through the entirety of each 50-minute presentation to receive credits. Verification will occur periodically throughout seminar. A Zoom account is required to log into the seminar. Be sure to have your Zoom account set-up prior to the seminar.

Seminar topics will include:

• Control of New and Old Noxious Weeds in Eastern Washington by Dale Whaley, WSU Douglas County Extension Educator.

• Identification and Management of Winter Wheat Diseases by Dr. Tim Murray, WSU Plant Pathologist.

• Management Options for Gophers, Ground Squirrels, and Voles by Ken Hart, University of Idaho Lewis County Extension Educator.

• Herbicide Resistance Implications for Weed Management in Wheat by Dr. Drew Lyon, WSU Weed Scientist.
