Lady Pirates start play

Defending State Champion Pomeroy Pirates are off to a rocky start this season, dropping their first two matches of the COVID Volleyball 2021 season. Jillian Herres, sophomore setter for the Lady Bucs, makes a play while Kendall Dixon (16) and Elizabeth Ruchert stand by. The Lady Pirates opened the shortened campaign with a Feb. 18 loss to Tekoa-Rosalia 3-2 at Rosalia, and were downed by the SJEL Eagles in an away match Saturday.
