POMEROY–The Garfield County Commissioners (BOCC) approved the Nutrition Program, the Emergency Management and Public Assistant Grant Agreement D20-2044 grants, and the Bell guardrail project during the meeting on 5 April, 2021.

The Nutrition Program creates farmer's market vouchers for low-income senior citizens through Southeast Washington Aging and Long-Term Care Council of Governments.

The Emergency Management Grant from Spokane County Emergency Management to Garfield County Emergency Management was amended to extend to February 28, 2022.

Public Assistant Grant Agreement D20-2044 for flood work done in 2020 was also passed. Tina Meier was designated in Resolution 2021-08 as a representative of Garfield County for the purpose of this grant.

The final contract for the Bell Plain guardrail project was reviewed and approved.

Sheriff Drew Hyer reported that between arrests and attending community events, March was a busy month for his office. "It's good to see your deputies out and about," Commissioner Justin Dixon said.
