WWCC shares strategic planning update at April 15 Community Forum

April 15, 2021

WALLA WALLA–The Walla Walla Community College will share insights on its 2021 strategic planning process during an online Community Forum from 5 to 6 p.m. on April 15.

“Our strategic planning is designed to assess the needs of our communities and students and to guide our future development and growth. It’s been vital for the College to hear from our students, faculty, staff and community stakeholders,” WWCC President Chad Hickox said.

Earlier this year students, faculty and staff completed a Climate & Needs Assessment and members of the general public were also invited to complete an online survey. WWCC received more than 760 responses, which were considered by the Governance Council, Executive Leadership Team, and Strategic Planning Task Force.

From this process, WWCC has focused on three, overarching goals:

• WWCC will provide a high-quality education.

• WWCC will be a fiscally sound and sustainable organization.

• WWCC will be welcoming, inclusive, supportive of and responsive to all communities we serve.

The College has posted information and materials related to its 2021 Strategic Plan on a dedicated webpage. The April 15 Community Forum will provide members of the general public with an update and an opportunity to ask questions. If you are interested in joining, please register in advance with the College at https://tinyurl.com/wwccspforum and you will be sent a secure Zoom link. Spanish translation will be provided.
