Recently hired Chief Financial Officer, Lance Spindler, will telecommute from Alaska a majority of the time and travel to work in-house a few days a month.

POMEROY–Garfield County Memorial Hospital Co-CEO Mat Slaybaugh introduced the new Chief Financial Officer Lance Spindler at the monthly meeting on June 7. Presently, Spindler is here for the remainder of June, then return to his hometown of Soldotna, Alaska, and work remotely. Soldotna lies 150 miles south of Anchorage, situated on a river. "It's the best salmon fishing in the world." Spindler said. He will return to Pomeroy to work in-house a few days each month.

"The hospital is now open for visitors" Co-CEO Jayd Keener announced. They will be screened on entry and need to be masked at all times. They will receive a sticker that shows them to be a visitor, as well as the initials of the employee who performed the screening.

Telecardiology equipment has arrived and been installed. Training is underway with staff in Pullman, and the go-live date is June 24.

The hospital board discussed options for finding a marketing team. The decision was made to continue to use the current business, Allevant, and reevaluate in six months.

The phone system has become problematic. Calls have been dropped and in some cases the phone does not ring at all. ITC Services will upgrade it with new equipment.

The ultrasound equipment is being installed. No construction was needed, just shuffling of rooms and office spaces. No date has been announced for its availability.
