Gwinn is sworn in as Grant County District Court Judge

Grant County District Court Judge Brian Gwinn, a Pomeroy native, was congratulated by the Honorable Thomas Cox, District Court Judge in Garfield County.

EPHRATA, Wash.–Pomeroy native Brian Gwinn was sworn in to the Grant County District Court Judge position at a ceremony in the courtroom here July 22, 2021.

Gwinn, son of Mike and Alice Gwinn of Pomeroy and a 1992 Pomeroy High School graduate, took the oath as Grant County District Court Judge in a swearing-in ceremony attended by family and friends, including the Honorable Garfield County District Court Judge Thomas Cox, left.

Gwinn was sworn in to fill the district-court bench vacated by Tyson Hill, who was appointed to the Grant County Superior Court judge position in April.

He has been an attorney for over 21 years, and employed in the Grant County public defender's office since 2013.

The Grant County District Court position will be up for election in November, 2022.
