Some Pirate Swim Team members leave the starting blocks, racing the clock in an event from last weekend's Tri-County Swim Meet. Some Pirate swimmers achieved medals, ribbons or personal records at the championship meet in Colfax, Wash., August 7. The weather, temperature and smoke index cooperated to make the meet an enjoyable experience for participants and spectators.
